Mr. Quek Yu Chern is a highly accomplished pianist, trumpeter, and educator with over 10 years of teaching experience.

 

A graduate of the National University of Singapore (NUS), he currently works full-time as a data scientist while continuing to teach piano out of passion and dedication to music education. He has guided students aged 5 to 18 across all levels—from beginner grades to LRSM—and is well-versed in the Music Elective Programme (MEP) syllabus.

Mr. Quek attained his LRSM in 2013 at just 15 years old under the NAFA School of Young Talents, mentored by the renowned Mdm Fang Yuan. In addition to piano, he is an active trumpet performer, playing regularly with professional and community wind bands and orchestras. His strong musical foundation, technical expertise, and warm teaching approach make him a versatile and inspiring educator for students at Asia Music School.
